Being the most decorated player at Old Trafford, Rooney posted Kai signing a contract with the Red Devils on his Instagram handle.
Rooney accompanied the image with the caption:

The 35-year-old will now be hoping his son would enjoy a strong start to life at United's academy.
Rooney won five Premier League titles, three League Cups, one FA Cup, one Europa League and one Champions League during his spell at the Theatre of Dreams.
He remains the club's highest goal scorer with 253 goals in 559 appearances for United, breaking Sir Bobby Charlton's long-standing record in January 2017.
The former England international is now a caretaker manager at Derby County and is looking to earn the job on a permanent basis.
Derby were languishing at the bottom of the Championship table but since Rooney's appointment, the club has gone on a six-match unbeaten run.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Man United legend, Wayne Rooney has been named Derby County interim manager following the sack of Phillip Cocu.
Derby announced the axing of Cocu alongside his backroom staff on Saturday, November 14.
In a statement seen by Legit.ng, the Championship side said the decision was reached by mutual consent.
Legit.ng had earlier reported that Edison Cavani could be handed a three-match ban after he was charged for his 'negrito' comments on social media.
The Uruguayan responded to a fan on Twitter after coming on as a substitute and scoring the winner for Man United in last month's win against Southampton at St, Mary's.
However the Uruguayan will be available for the entire Christmas fixture list but the English FA has begun a probe on Cavani's comment which was immediately deleted.
