Cristiano Ronaldo was missing in Juventus 1-1 draw away at Benevento as the reigning champions failed to hold onto their lead.
Juventus drop points yet again on the night the side was deeply frustrated with Alvaro Morata also receiving a red card after full time of the encounter for verbally insulting the referee.
The game started brightly for the Old Lady as they looked bright from the first blast of the whistle asking questions up-front.
In the 10th minute, the match was paused in honour of Diego Maradona, who passed away on Wednesday at the age of 60.
Maradona, who famously wore the No.10 shirt, spent seven seasons in Italy with Napoli, where he enjoyed some of the most productive years of his club career. A graphic was then displayed in the stands on the broadcast reading: "Ad10s Diego".
The game continued shortly and in the 21st minute, Juventus were ahead courtesy a sensational strike by Alvaro Morata.
His eighth goal of the season was not enough as Filipo Inzaghi’s men equalised courtesy a Gaetano Letizia strike in first-half stoppage time.
The second half saw Juventus intensify their search for a winner as they continued to attack but could not just get the winner.
At the blast of the final whistle, Morata became the villain as he was shown a red card for insulting the referee - meaning he will miss their home game against Torino. It ended; Benevento 1-1 Juventus.
