France vs Portugal Nations League was the highlight of matches played over the weekend because of the stars lined up on both sides.
Chances were few and far between as the match ended in a 0-0 draw but Kylian Mbappe finally showed his uttermost respect for Cristiano Ronaldo.
The pair were involved in a discussion when both sides resumed the match for the second half and Mabppe was laughing to what the Portuguese icon was telling him.
Mbappe took to his Instagram handle and wrote 'Idol' using the crown and goat emoji to claim Ronaldo is the greatest of all time in football.
The Paris Saint-Germain striker pulled some strings at the Portuguese's defence but he only did trouble Rui Patricio in goal once.
Ronaldo also had a last minute effort saved at the near post by Tottenham shot-stopper Hugo Lloris as honours were even.

Mbappe has shown flashes of brilliance over the years and has been tipped to become a future Ballon d'Or winner.
He lifted the World Cup with France in 2018 and was given the Young Player of the Tournament accolade at age 19.
The Frenchman was joint-top scorer in last season's Ligue 1 and was instrumental in helping PSG reach to the Champions League finals.
Mbappe recently returned to action after testing positive to the deadly coronavirus disease last month and has scored two goals in three matches in the 2020-21 season.
