Nigerian star Odion Ighalo's move to Manchester United on winter transfer window deadline day has been greeted with mixed reactions.
The 30-year-old signed a six-year loan deal with the Red Devils until the end of the season as back up for injured Marcus Rashford.
However, after being unveiled to the fans, the striker was also handed jersey number 25 - which was last worn by former captain Antonio Valencia.
Ighalo, who won a bronze medal and the top scorer's gong at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations championship revealed that his move to Old Trafford has been wildly celebrated in Nigeria.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer agreed to sign the former Super Eagles star due to his Premier League experience while playing for Watford.
United's chances of contending for the EPL title this season is long gone but they have a chance of finishing top four at the end of the season.

They currently sit seventh on the log with 35 points after 25 games - six points shy of Chelsea who are fourth on the log.
The Old Trafford outfit battles Derby County in the fifth round of their FA Cup championship next month and the arrival of Ighalo could boost their chances of advancing further in the tourney.
He said: "[The reaction] was crazy because, all over the news for the last few days, is about my deal to Man United,”
"Even the street I grew up on, they are doing parties, celebrating Ighalo signing for United.
"They sent me the video, I was just laughing and happy, because many of them are supporting Man United and some of them are supporting some other teams in the Premier League.
"But they said, because of me, they are moving to United, because they have a very big fan-base in Nigeria.
Ighalo added: "So I am happy about all this and they are rooting for United from now on."
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Former Barcelona and Chelsea star Eidur Gudjohnsen has slammed Manchester United over their choice to sign Nigerian star Odion Ighalo until the end of the season.
The Red Devils were forced to land the former Super Eagles striker due to their shortage of personnel in the attacking position.
Having sold Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan, the club failed to bring a replacement for him as they mainly bank on Marcus Rashford to get the job done.
