Alexis Sanchez: Man United to end Chilean star's loan deal at Inter Milan

Alexis Sanchez, Manchester United superstar is set to make a shock return to Old Trafford, according to manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Sanchez, who went on loan to Inter Millan a little over a year ago, is only starting to find his way into Antonio Conte’s squad after a lengthy spell on the sidelines through injury.

Amid increasing speculation about the Chilean, Solskjaer looks to have placed rumors to bed as he confirmed Sanchez could actually settle back at United for the 2020/2021 season.

"It is difficult in the transfer window. I can't remember many good deals we've brought in in January. Alexis Sanchez will come back in the summer and prove you all wrong," Solskjaer said.

The Rossoneri had a chance to sign the forward permanently but it looks like United are ready to recall their highest-paid star.

While on loan, Sanchez has only made seven appearances for the Italian outfit who are in a fierce battle for the Serie A title with Juventus.

The announcement was met with outrage from Manchester United fans for various reasons.

Quite a large section did not necessarily want Sanchez back at the club, with majority accusing club owners of poor business.

Others analysed that he club’s reluctance to buy new players in the January transfer window all went down to Sanchez’s wages.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Odion Ighalo, former Nigerian international, has emerged a January transfer loan target for Manchester United as the Premier League outfits are ready to lure the striker to Old Trafford at all cost.

Marcus Rashford's injury has unarguably posed a great obstruction to United's hope sealing top-four spot, and the club is desperately seeking for an alternative option upfront.

The England international is set to be sidelined for more than two months due to ankle injury, forcing United to look at the way of the former Watford forward who is currently playing for Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua.

30-year-old Ighalo has two years left on his contract with the Chinese side but a mutual agreement with his club may see him depart for Old Trafford before the January window ends.
