Former Dynamo Kyiv duo Yusuf Ayila and James Obiorah are the only Nigerians to have scored against Madrid in the Champions League.

With nine minutes on the clock, Bonaventure notched the first goal despite having a poor first touch which still went past Thibaut Courtois in goal.

The Blue-Black scored their second through the Nigerian after capitalizing on a blunder by Luka Modric as he had time and space to chip the ball over Courtois.

Real captain Sergio Ramos and Casemiro got Zinedine Zidane's men back into the match with two brilliant headers but they could not find the winner late on.

Club Brugge who have been unbeaten in their last 15 matches will welcome another European giant, Paris Saint-Germain in their next Champions League match on October 22.
