Algeria vs Nigeria will do battle in what promises to be a cracker for a place in the AFCON 2019 semi finals.

The Super Eagles sealed their place in the penultimate stage of the competition following a 2-1 win over South Africa.

But it took the Desert Foxes a 4-3 shoot-out win over Cote D'Ivoire in the quarter finals to progress into the last four.

Having scored ten goals and conceded just one all through the tournament, the Algerians have maintained a perfect record in five matches so far in tournament.

On the other hand, Gernot Rohr's side gradually developed confidence in each game of the competition and despite their last group game to Madagascar, the Nigerian team have propelled themselves as favourites for the trophy.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Gernot Rohr has stressed that he has met his minimum target following Super Eagles qualification into AFCON semi finals.

The German tactician told journalists that Nigeria's third place in the African rankings can only be maintained by progressing into the last four of AFCON 2019.
