The whole Naija internet space has continued to buzz as music icon Davido is closing in on receiving a staggering N190million ahead of his 29th birthday on November 21.
‘Skelewu’ crooner Davido has continued to received huge sums of money after posting his account number publicly and calling on those who he has delighted to also show him love.
In what seemed like a joke, the rave of the moment who earlier claimed he was targeting N100million is about doubling the figure – as at the time of filing this report.

Daily Post reports that the birthday boy has received N1million each from colleagues, celebrities, associates, fans and well-wishers as he continue to call them out on his Instagram handle.

He called on Nigerian footballers to also do the needful when he said:
“Henry (Onyekwuru), Asisat (Oshoala) Wilfred (Ndidi) oya oya oya, Obagoal (Obafemi Martins), Kelechi (Iheanacho), Alex Iwobi…, I wait I wait.”
And about 24 hours later, the music sensation posted screenshots of N1million each which was sent to him by five of the players.
Henry Onyekwuru, Asisat Oshoala, Wilfred Ndidi, Obafemi Martins, Kelechi Iheanacho all sent him N1million each.
Davido set to lavish received funds
Meanwhile, Davido has commenced the spending of the funds he received from friends, colleagues, and associates.
While the contribution towards his 29th birthday has not ended, Davido is ready to spoil himself with an expensive wristwatch.
He shared a video of himself hunting for a leather strap Patek Philipe wristwatch in Dubai and fans can't stop talking about it.
Nigerians have reacted to the video Davido shared about buying Patek wristwatch, some of them claimed the funds he raised is their money.
Davido urged to donate all received funds to charity
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Governor Okowa of Delta state’s aide, Ossai Ovie Success, has spoken on the millions top Nigerian singer, Davido received from friends.
On November 17, 2021, Davido shut down social media after his friends took up his challenge of proving their love for him by donating at least N1 million.
Taking to his Facebook page, Ossai Ovie Success noted that Davido needed to donate the millions he made to charity instead of using it to clear his Rolls Royce from the port like he claimed.
