Man United could be set for a squad revamp this summer following a disappointing end to the season last term.
Despite their otherwise impressive campaign, United did not win any trophy as they lost the Europa League title to Villarreal in the final.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is now understood to be keen to reinforce his squad with both Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane linked.
The duo has been long-term transfer targets for the Red Devils but now appear to be inching closer to landing them.
According to talkSPORT, United have already agreed personal terms with Sancho, and are in a pole position to land the Englishman.
And United might not stop there as Solskjaer is looking to strengthen his backline, especially in central defence.
Varane is thought to have been identified as the best-suited candidate for the role, with the Frenchman thought to be ready to quit Real Madrid.
Paul Pogba is also reported to be on the verge of penning a new deal in a move that would see Solskjaer have an improved squad depth from next season.
But with so much talent and experience at his disposal, how would the Norwegian assemble his arsenal to lead the title charge?
It is now almost certain Dean Henderson would be United's no.1 ahead of David de Gea after the Englishman seemingly deposing his counterpart from the role towards the end of last season.
Should Varane arrive, then he would undoubtedly walk straight into United's starting XI, replacing the erratic Victor Lindelof.
The France International would in that scenario be paired with Harry Maguire at the heart of defence, with Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka playing in fullback.
In midfield, Pogba will retain his place alongside the creative Bruno Fernandes, with Scott McTominay playing as a defensive midfielder.
Upfront, Edinson Cavani is sure to lead the line following his exploits from last season, with Marcus Rashford playing on the left wing along with Sancho on the right.
