Inter Milan Announce Italy Legend As New Manager After Conte Stepped Down

Simone Inzaghi has been announced as new Inter Milan boss following the resignation of Antonio Conte a few days ago, Daily Mail, Twitter.
Conte who wrestled off the Scudetto from Juventus at the just concluded season will have his former international teammate Inzaghi as his successor.
Inzaghi spent five years as Lazio manager and returned a series of brilliant performances with Rome based club. The 45-year-old has penned a two-year deal with the San Siro outfit.

Lazio won the Coppa Italia in 2018-19, and well as the Italian Super Cup in 2017 and 2019. His side finished sixth in Serie A this season.
To that effect Inter has released an official statement:
"FC Internazionale Milano would like to welcome Simone Inzaghi to the Club, as our new First Team Coach. The Italian manager has signed a two-year deal with the Nerazzurri. #WelcomeSimone"
It is understood that the vacant position in Lazio's managerial position is being considered by former Napoli and Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri.
The ex-Juventus gaffer has been on a sabbatical in the past year and will be gearing up to return to the dug out at the Stadio Olimpico next season.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Romelu Lukaku has ended the uncertainty surrounding his future after confirming he will be staying at Inter Milan beyond this season.
Lukaku has been the subject of speculation in recent weeks, with the Belgian being linked with a stunning return to the Premier League.
Chelsea and Man City are among the clubs believed to have been monitoring his situation at Inter ahead of a possible summer swoop.
The Blues were in a pole position to land him especially after the departure of Antonio Conte, with reports suggesting Thomas Tuchel had the forward on his transfer wishlist to help him bolster his attacking department.
