Exinternationals Emmanuel Amuneke and Dosu Joseph are disappointed with Gernot Rohr for inviting Valentine Ozornwafor for the friendly games against Cameroon and Mexico.
The 21-year-old was named in the 23-man squad despite making an eight-minute appearance for Galatasaray in their 6-0 triumph over Genclerbirligi earlier in the year.
This has now sparked reactions from the duo who won the 1996 Atlanta Olympic gold medal in the men's football event.

Both former stars believe the player does not deserve a place in the squad, saying there several other footballers who merit the spot more according to Complete Sport and Punch.ng.
“There are so many inconsistencies with the way players are being invited, but the coach determines who comes into the team and who plays as well. That’s his job.
“You can’t invite a player who has played only eight minutes to the Eagles. We must be honest with ourselves and tell ourselves some bitter truth.
“I’m sure we have some defenders either in the Nigeria Professional Football League or in Europe who deserve the chance in terms of talent and form.”
Dosu on his part was also critical of the player's call-up, saying the coach must have been satisfied with him just playing eight minutes for his club in Europe.
“His (Ozornwafor) invitation sums it up. How do you invite a player who has played only eight minutes to the senior national team for a friendly? The coach must have seen a lot from the player in the eight minutes he played all season.”
Legit.ng earlier reported that Nigeria's Super Eagles maintained their position as the 32nd best footballing nation in the world according to the latest FIFA ranking released on Thursday, May 27.
The three-time Africa Cup of Nations champions also remained third on the continent after Senegal and Tunisia.
It is understandable that coach Gernot Rohr's men stood still in the period under review as they were not in action.
