Israel Adesanya has been dropped as an ambassador with BMW following rape comments he recently made.
The UFC middleweight champion who suffered his first loss in his MMA career to light heavyweight king Jan Blachowicz had a heated exchange of words with fellow contender Kelvin Holland on Instagram.
The Last Stylebender said as part of what he perceived as a fight talk:
“Bro, I will f….n r*pe you.”
And the car manufacturing giant who were set to unveil the Nigerian-born New Zealand fighter when they launch their BMW M3 and M4 models in the coming week, stripped Adesanaya as their brand ambassador.

BMW released a statement:
"Due to the comments made by an athlete online, we have reviewed our pending association with said athlete and we have decided not to push forward with a specific ambassador for the brand at this time in New Zealand."

Adesanya has since apologized for his actions and deleted the post on his social media handle.
“Last weekend fight talk escalated to a point in which I crossed the line. I understand the gravity of this word and how it can affect and hurt other people apart from my opponent, although that was NEVER my intention,”
“I am still growing under the spotlight, and I take this as a lesson to be more selective with words under pressure.”

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Jan Blachowicz became the first man to defeat Israel Adesanya at UFC 259 light heavyweight contest in Las Vegas.
All three judges gave the contest to the Polish fighter after dominating the majority of the rounds as it went the distance.
Israel is now 21-1 as his quest to become a two-division champion came crashing after he faced a much heavier and experienced Blachowicz.
The first round was strictly a kick-boxing match as both fighters sized each other up with a few leg kicks with none of the punches connecting.
