Fans of Premier League outfit Tottenham have called on the sacking of Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho, no thanks to their early exit from the Europa League.
Spurs blew their 2-0 first leg lead against Dinamo Zagreb to allow the Croatian side score three unreplied goals in the reverse fixture and dump them out of the tournament.
Mislav Orsic emerged match hero during the encounter, scoring a stunning hat-trick to help Zagreb book a place in the quarter-finals of the European competition on a 3-2 goal aggregate.
And with Tottenham currently occupying 8th position in the Premier League, their chances of reaching European competition next season now hang in the balance which has left club fans furious.
One disgruntled Spurs fan tweeted, as cited in Daily Mail:
"Being a spurs fan is the worst. Never have I hated a team so much. sack Jose."
Meanwhile, another supporter of the north Londoners posted:
"Tbh (to be honest), if it gets Mourinho the sack this was a good night’s work."
On the other hand, Arsenal have been handed a tough battle in the Europa League quarterfinals as the Gunners will be facing Slavia Prague after the draw was made on Friday, March 19.
Last two seasons, Arsenal got into the final of the Europa League before they suffered an embarrassing defeat against Chelsea in what was Eden Hazard's last game for the Blues.
Manchester United who are the other Premier League side remaining this term in the Europa League will be facing Granada in what is expected to be a tough tie for Solskjaer and his men.
Legit.ng earlier reported that the draw for the last eight of the Champions League has been made as Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City each discovered their opponents.
The Premier League clubs have learned their opponents for the last eight of the competition after the draw was made in Switzerland.
The Reds, who won the competition for a sixth time in 2018-19, beat RB Leipzig over two legs to book their place in the quarter-finals.
