Cristiano Ronaldo's proposed move to the Premier League last season suffered a major setback, superagent Jorge Mendes reveals, The Sun.
Ronaldo and Juventus teammates were dumped out of the Champions League by FC Porto and the Portuguese was criticized by fans for letting Sergio Oliveira's set-piece pass through his legs.
The 36-year-old has been linked with a move to the MLS and the Chinese Super League at the end of the season.

However Italian journalist Emanuele Gamba attached to Calcio Mercato revealed that the five-time Ballon d'Or winner would see the remainder of his contract with the Turin-based side.
Gamba revealed that Ronaldo had been offered to his former club Man United and PSG by his agent Mendes last season.
SunSport quoted Gamba:
“Will he leave? I think the only time there was a chance for that was last summer, and I think his staff moved in that direction.
“I believe Mendes moved to see if there were any possibilities and did not find them.
“I doubt that a year later, with an even older and more out of fashion Ronaldo, these possibilities will reappear.
“Mendes had urged Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United to make a move, who both said no.
“Frankly, I don’t see the possibility of anything different happening now, at least in Europe.”

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Barcelona's ouster at this season Champions League means both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo will not be playing in the quarter-finals for the first time in 16 years.
Paris-Saint Germain got the better of La Blaugrana in a 5-2 scoreline over two legs while Juventus crashed out on a 4-4 away goal rule in their head-to-head clashes with FC Porto.
And this will be the first time Ronaldo and Messi will not be playing in the last four stages of the money-spinning competition since the 2004-05 season.
