After yet another dull 0-0 stalemate against big six opponents Chelsea, United sit bottom of the table consisting of the big sides only.

Solskjaer can still brag about his unbeaten record against Chelsea since he took charge of United in 2018, but the fact that he has mustered up so many 0-0 stalemates against Big Six sides will be a point of concern for his team.

One of the biggest regrets for Solskjaer will be the fact that his team have dropped an unacceptable number of points through stalemates this season as they have drawn a total of eight times.

Below are some of the so-called ‘Big games’ this season that have ended in a tactical stalemate:

Man United 0-0 Chelsea

Arsenal 0-0 Man United

Liverpool 0-0 Man United

Man United 0-0 Man City

Chelsea 0-0 Spurs

From the list, it is evident United are behind the majority of these drab results, and this has had horrible implications on their place in the ‘Big Six table’.

The Red Devils have scored only one goal against the Big Six this season, and this has come from the penalty spot in the 6-1 mauling from Tottenham earlier in the season.

Here is a look at the Big Six table and how the top six clubs in England have faired against each other:

Man City 17 points

Liverpool 14 points

Tottenham 10 points

Arsenal 7 points

Chelsea 6 points

Manchester United 5 points
