Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is in line to welcome back the trio of Edinson Cavani, Donny van de Beek and Scott McTominay when Man United take on Chelsea on Sunday, February 28.

All the three players have been out injured for a couple of days, missing vital matches including United's double-header against Real Sociedad in the last 32 of the Europa League.

The crucial tie come in the backdrop of a fine run of results for both teams, with Chelsea in particular under new boss Thomas Tuchel.

The Blues are currently unbeaten in all eight fixtures Tuchel has managed them, with the German tactician picking 14 points from the available 18 in the league.

Solskjaer will therefore be wary of the in-form Chelsea side, a scenario that could see him assemble a strong team to tackle Tuchel's men.

The Norwegian rested a couple of first team players during their second leg meeting with Sociedad, affording the youth a some minutes under their belts.

As such, it is given the United boss will name a much-changed squad for the Chelsea tie, with Dean Henderson expected to make way for David de Gea in goal.

Harry Maguire and Eric Bailly could be paired at the heart of defence, with Luke Shaw making a return on the left alongside Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

With Paul Pogba still unavailable for selection, Fred and McTominay could be drafted in the midfield alongside Bruno Fernandes who is an obvious starter.

Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood are set to take their places upfront, with Anthony Martial dropping to the bench for Edinson Cavani in attack.

A win at Stamford Bridge will see the Red Devils solidify their place in second as they keep pace with leaders Man City.
