Funny moment players push ambulance out of the pitch after engine refuses to start

The match between FC Porto and Sporting Braga players were forced to push an ambulance out of the pitch after it failed to move, The Sun.

Braga defender David Carmo had a serious ankle injury after throwing himself on the ball to prevent Luis Diaz from scoring to make it 2-0 for Porto.

After the referee consulted the VAR, Diaz was given his marching orders for catching the 21-year-old Liverpool target, who suffered a terrible ankle injury in the process.

The ambulance was driven onto the pitch to carry the player off but after stretching Carmo into the vehicle, the engines refused to start.

This resulted in players from both sides pushing the ambulance out of the pitch which left tyre marks on the field.

Porto were leading by 1-0 in the Taca de Portugal semi-final first-leg as they continued playing the match with ten men on the pitch.

The referee's assistant signaled 12 extra minutes will be added to the 90 due to the injury that occurred to Carmo.

Porto were unlucky during the 12 minutes of added time as Mateus Uribe was sent off for a disgusting lunge of his own as they finished the game with nine men.

And Braga made them pay by scoring in the 12th and final minute of time added on to level the score at 1-1.

The second leg will be played at Porto on March 3, 2020, in a winner takes all match and for a place in the finals.
