Good news as coach who helped Argentina beat Nigeria at 2018 World Cup becomes father again at 60

- Jorge Sampaoli and his partner Paula Velasquez welcomes newborn baby

- The 60-year-old currently manages Brazilian outfit Atletico Mineiro

- The 2015 Copa America winner led Argentina to the FIFA World Cup two years ago

Congratulations are definitely in order for the former Argentine national team coach Jorge Sampaoli who became a father once again at the age of 60.

The current Atletico Mineiro manager and his partner Paula Velasquez announced the arrival of their new baby named Bento about 18 months after welcoming his first son Leon.

He will now have to juggle between playing his fatherly role to his newborn and equally attending to his players in the Brazilian club.

The 2015 Copa America winner was spotted rocking his son shortly after he was given birth to while fully dressed in surgical gear in the hospital.

An Atletico Mineiro spokesman gushed:

“Welcome Bent, Congratulations to daddy Sampaoli and mummy Paula. We wish the latest member of our family the best of health.”

According to SunSport, the picture was closely similar to the one he took in September 2019 when Leon arrived, although he was said to have looked more relaxed while posing for the camera.

The 60-year-old met his partner in 2007 when he was in charge at Chilean side O’Higgins and both are parents to two boys today. She was working as a receptionist at a gym he used.

Sampaoli became a grandfather in 2017 when he was appointed Argentina coach and led the South American country to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Also, he was tipped to be named as Chelsea manager in 2015 after guiding Chile to Copa America triumph staged in Chile.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder, Ruben Neves, has revealed that he watched his son given birth to via the phone.

The 23-year-old and his wife, Deborah welcomed their third child over the weekend and the football star could not be by her bedside during the delivery process.

He said that he counted it stressful travelling to Portugal where the baby was born and only to return and be isolated for two weeks before getting back to action.
