A move to the MLS is on the cards for Romero after failing to make an appearance for United this season.

Romero who was allowed to spend time with his family in Argentina has now returned to the side to begin training with De Gea and Henderson.

Solskjaer said:

“Sergio is working hard in training.
“He’s in the group and of course he lost a lot of training earlier on in the season.
“He joined us late after time back home and over Christmas as well, he was with family in Argentina.
“He’s working with the keepers but with Dean, Lee (Grant) and David it’s been more difficult to get in the match squad.”

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Sergio Romero is on the verge of leaving Man United this January after reportedly saying his goodbye to the club's staff members.

Romero has endured a difficult spell at United in recent months despite being touted as a possible understudy to David de Gea.

The Argentine goalkeeper has spent five years with the Red Devils, often playing second fiddle to De Gea.

Legit.ng had also reported that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will reportedly tell four of his players that they are now surplus to requirement and are free to leave during the January transfer window.

According to The Athletic quoted by Sport Bible United are ready to listen to offers Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo, Sergio Romero, and Jesse Lingard.

The four stars have barely made an appearance for the Red Devils with Lingard playing two League Cup matches.
