Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho has hit out at referee Andre Marriner for awarding a penalty against his side which saw Chelsea claim all three points on Thursday night, January 4.
The former Chelsea boss criticised the official as his side now lose three straight games against the Blues. The defeat also means Spurs have also lost their last two home games.
Jorginho scored the only goal from the spot in the 24th minute after Eric Dier tripped Timo Werner through a clumsy challenge from the Englishman.
But Mourinho says although he considered Marriner as one of the best referees in the Premier League, he was disappointed about his performance on the night. He said, as cited in Daily Mail:
"I consider him one of the best referees in the Premier League. I care for him and I have big admiration for.
"That gives me a good position to tell you I did not like his performance.
"The struggle was the penalty, in the end a penalty decides the game. In the end they score a penalty which is not a penalty that you say is a dangerous situation, one on one, almost scoring.
"It's a penalty that is difficult to accept and to lose the game like this is a bit painful."

He is excited that his side's captain Harry Kane will not be out for long as the team misses the services of the striker.
The English international picked up an injury during Spurs' home defeat to Premier League defending champions Liverpool on Thursday, January 28.
And he was left out of the squad that suffered a 1-0 loss at Brighton and Hove Albion three days later with their title contention looking very bleak.
The 57-year-old tactician was delighted while speaking to the club's official website saying that the initial report revealed the striker could be out for three weeks but that has been reduced.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Man United defender Phil Jones has made a return to the club's squad after he was named in the side's squad for Europa League.
The Red Devils are set to face La Liga outfit Real Sociedad in the round of 32 later this February for a chance to reach the last 16.
And to ensure he has enough squad depth, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has surprisingly added Jones to his squad.
