German legend Bastian Schweinsteiger has stunned the football world after he left out superstars Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo out of his FIFA 21 Team of the Year.
FIFA has made it an annual tradition to select 70 stars across the globe who vote for their best XI in the past twelve months.
A special card is being awarded to each player who gets the most vote in their respective position which will be further made available for FIFA players.
The former Bayern Munich and Manchester United star however excluded legendary duo of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo on his list where he named Bruno Fernandes and Jordan Henderson.
Bastian Schweinsteiger's FIFA 21 Team of the Year:
- Manuel Neuer
- Sergio Ramos
- Virgil van Dijk
- Marquinhos
- Raphael Guerreiro
- Jordan Henderson
- Kevin De Bruyne
- Joshua Kimmich
- Neymar
- Kylian Mbappe
- Robert Lewandowski
Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo will clock 36 in about three weeks from now but the forward is not showing any sign of slowing down one bit.
The Portugal international scored a stunning 92nd-minute goal in Juventus' 3-1 win over Sassuolo at the Allianz Stadium last weekend.
Danillo and Aaron Ramsey had also been on target earlier on in the game that saw all goals scored in the second half.
The victory helped Andrea Pirlo's men to close the gap on leaders AC Milan in their pursuit of another Scudetto crown.
The former Manchester United and Real Madrid superstar became the only player to score at least 15 goals in each of the last 15 seasons in the top five leagues after his late minute strike against Roberto De Zerbi's men. Ronaldo has reached that mark in every campaign since 06-07.
Legit.ng also reported that Lionel Messi scored a fantastic free-kick during Barcelona's 4-0 thrashing of Granada as they cemented their place in third position on La Liga table.
The set-piece did not only increase La Blaugrana's lead in the game to 3-0, but it also meant that Messi has scored 48 goals from free-kicks for his club.
The six-time Ballon d'Or winner also moved past his closest rival Cristiano Ronaldo in terms of free-kicks scored at club level.
