Panic has set into the Barcelona squad as club manager Ronald Koeman has told players who have seen less playing time this season to look for another club.
It was gathered that the tactician was specific about out-of-favour midfielder Riqui Puig who has just made two appearances for the Catalans this season.
There are several players who are yet to feature for the squad in recent times and the manager is mincing no words in notifying them of the club’s plans.
Koeman said, as cited in Soccer Laduma:
"He [the club’s sporting director Ramon Planes] has already told the players that we do not predict will get much game-time that they would be better if they looked for another club.

"Without mentioning names, it would be better for some of them to go out and get minutes before returning. I have said since the summer: young players must play.
"They cannot spend a whole season not playing, that does not benefit anyone.”
And the Spanish giants have confirmed the exit of Carles Alena as the impressive midfielder joins local club Getafe on loan.
Alena’s exit is Barcelona’s first departure of the January 2021 transfer window as the 23-year-old will be on loan at the rival club until the end of the season.
He managed to play just five matches across all competitions for Barcelona this season so far, playing 170 minutes in total.
In general, he has made 19 appearances for in the La Liga having been on loan at Betis during a loan spell last season, but returned to his boyhood club, where he was seemingly out of favour with Dutch coach Ronald Koeman.
