Arsenal vs Newcastle ended 4-0 in favour of Mikel Arteta's side in an entertaining Premier League fixture played at the Emirates.

Four second half goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Nicolas Pepe, Mesut Ozil and Alexander Lacazette was enough for the Gunners to dispatch the Magpies.

It was an evenly contested game in the first half as both sides were attack-minded in the opening exchanges of the game.

Arsenal were unable to unlock the Newcastle defence as Bukayo Saka and Aubameyang tried to make the most of their half chances.

But shortly after the interval, the London club got their noses in front through their top striker Aubameyang who headed a cross from Pepe in the 54th minute to make it 1-0.

Three minutes later, the Gunners doubled their lead as provider turned goalscorer as Pepe was on hand to tap in a low cross from Saka to make it 2-0.

The Toon Army pushed forward in search for a goal but Bernd Leno denied Frenchman Allan Saint-Maximin and Miguel Almoron who should have scored from his brilliant assist.

But Arteta's side were not done yet as substitute Lacazette's delightful touch in Newcastle's 18-yard area gave Ozil the simplest of touches which Martin Dubravka could not handle to make it 3-0 in the 90th minute.

Lacazette deservedly got the fourth despite coming in six minutes into the end of the match as Pepe's run put the Frenchman in a scoring position to make it 4-0 in the fifth minute of injury time.

Arsenal moved to tenth on the table following the win at the Emirates and Arteta's second win since becoming coach of the north London club.
