Kylian Mbappe claims Real Madrid gaffer Zidane was his first idol
Kylian Mbappe is one of the fastest growing footballers in the world considering his achievements so far and the club he currently plays for.
Born in December 1998, the 21-year-old has already won the World Cup title winning it with France at the 2018 edition of FIFA's tournament in Russia.
Every players playing football today in many parts of the world always have their idols to point to while growing up.
There are many footballers currently playing in the Premier League and other top flights who used to watch the likes of Pele, Rivaldo, Cafu, Drogba and many more.
Mbappe has now made it clear that he is not different from other football stars who had their heroes while growing up.
The former Monaco forward has however named current Real Madrid gaffer Zinedine Zidane as his first idol while he was a kid.
He explained that Zinedine Zidane really inspired him while growing up because of his style of playing soccer during his active playing time.
Interestingly, Zinedine Zidane won the World Cup the year Mbappe was born in 1998 as France defeated Brazil in the final.
While speaking at the launch party of his new foundation according to Goal, Kylian Mbappe named Zidane as his first idol and also admitted that Ronaldo is his second inspiration.
Mbappe who has scored 21 goals this season for PSG also explained that he is so lucky to have faced Cristiano Ronaldo on the pitch.
''To start as a child, it was Zidane. If you're a boy and you're French, your idol is Zidane.
"After that, it was Cristiano Ronaldo and I've been lucky enough to face him. Then it was the Brazilian Ronaldo for the way he played,'' Mbappe explained according to the report on Goal
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Paris-Saint-Germain are reportedly on the verge of losing France international Kylian Mbappe this summer with reports linking the forward with a move to join Real Madrid.
Real Madrid have been tracking the youngster since last year, and they may have the possibility to land their target man this summer which is expected to cost them £257m.
