Roma vs Juventus: Ronaldo scores 14th goal in Bianconeri's 2-1 win

- Roma vs Juventus ended 2-1 as the Bianconeri ran away with three points at the Stadio Olympico

Roma vs Juventus ended 2-1 in favour of the Bianconeri as they moved two points on top of the league table ahead of Inter Milan.

Two first half strikes from Merih Demiral and Cristiano Ronaldo put the champions in a commanding position but Diego Perotti's penalty was not enough to salvage a draw.

Juventus broke the deadlock as early as the third minute as Demiral had a fortunate rebound from a set-piece as he tucked home his team's first to make it 1-0.

Seven minutes later, Ronaldo scored his 14th goal of the season from a penalty after Paulo Dybala was fouled inside the box by Gianluca Mancini.

Things went from bad to worse fro Roma as their star man Nicolo Zaniolo picked up an injury as he was stretchered off in the 36th minute.

Paulo Fonseca's side played better in the second half as Eden Dzeko hit the post and another attempt from Aleksandar Kolarov was wasted.

However they did get one back after Alex Sandro handled the ball inside the penalty area and after a long look at the VAR, the penalty was given by referee Marco Guida.

Perotti sent Wojciech Szczesny the wrong way in the 68th minute as Roma gave themselves hope to find the equalizer.

Gonzalo Higuain scored from a Ronaldo's assist but he was marginally offside as the match finished 2-1 in favour of Maurizio Sarri's side.
