Mesut Ozil is a lazy player - Collins tips Arteta to sell midfielder
Mesut Ozil has been tagged as a lazy player by former Everton midfielder John Collins.
The ex-Scotland international who is now a journalist claims the German midfielder has been the weak link in the Gunners midfield.
But the 31-year-old posted a remarkable performance against Chelsea despite falling out of under Unai Emery and interim boss Freddie Ljungberg.
However, Collins believes Ozil is to blame for Arsenal's dip in form, tipping Arteta to get rid of the former Real Madrid man.

“He did get Ozil working harder than he’s ever worked but leopards don’t change their spots,” Collins said on BBC Radio 5 Live. “That’ll be a short term thing for Ozil because his natural instinct is to be lazy.
“It’s not to have an instant sprint back, chasing back, it’s not in his DNA.
“Technically gifted but the reason Arsenal haven’t been successful for the last four or five years is because he’s been in the team.

“He’s a lazy player, a skilful player but I think by the end of the season he’ll be gone.
“Arteta will be looking for a team on the pitch with every single player working.”
Ozil showed plenty of battling spirit against Chelsea but Collins is unconvinced whether he will display the same work ethic on a long-term basis.
“It’s not in his nature,” Collins argued. “He doesn’t like running, chasing, he doesn’t like the ugly side of football when he doesn’t have the ball. He likes when the ball's passed to his feet.
“OK, the new manager’s come in, brought him into his office and he’s built him up and told him what he needs to do but he doesn’t enjoy it and he doesn’t do it naturally. He’s not a team player without the ball. You see when he loses the ball it’s a delayed reaction. I’ll be very surprised if he can change him completely.”
