Which country has the most losses at the World Cup?
A total number of 77 teams have played in the World Cup finals since its inception in 1930 and till today, it is the most prestigious tournament in football.
Only eight teams have won football's biggest showpiece which includes Brazil, Germany, Italy, Uruguay, Argentina, France, England and Spain.
Brazil have recorded the tournament titles with five, winning the competition in 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994 and 2002.

Germany and Italy have four each while Uruguay, Argentina and France have two titles respectively as well as England and Spain sharing one apiece.
Brazil are also the team with most wins with 70 followed by Germany who have 66, with Italy and Argentina having 45 and 42 wins respectively.
However, Mexico have the most losses in the World Cup finals. The north American nation have played 53 matches and 25 of them have ended in defeats.

Mexico have participated in 16 finals, making them the fifth nation with the most attendance in a World Cup tournament.
Brazil remain the only team that have qualified and participated in every World Cup tournament in all 21 editions.

Other countries in the top five are Germany, Italy and Argentina who have 19, 18, and 17 participation respectively.
