Oyo LGA election: Teslim Folarin tackles Makinde

Meanwhile, Senator Teslim Folarin, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo state in the 2023 elections, has condemned the LGA elections.

Folarin, in a statement sighted by Legit.ng, criticised Governor Seyi Makinde and OYSIEC for their handling of the local government elections, calling it a charade.

The APC chieftain said despite assurances of openness and fairness, no elections took place in Oyo state.

He accused Governor Makinde of consistently opposing the local government system, which, according to him, has hindered grassroots development.

Folarin also alleged that the ruling party in the state, the PDP, disenfranchised voters, creating discrepancies in ad hoc staff lists and election materials.
