BREAKING: INEC Suspends Collation of Kogi Guber Election Results For 3rd Time, Gives Reason

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the suspension of Kogi governorship election results collation for the third.

This was announced at the collation centre monitored by Legit.ng on Channels Television on Sunday, November 12.

INEC has declared the results of 19 local governments in the state, and the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Usman Ododo, is taking the lead as he has won 11 councils so far.

Trailing Ododo is Murtala Ajaka of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), who has also won six local governments so far. The candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) came third by winning his local government.

Dino Melaye, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the election, has yet to win any local government in the election and has lost his local government to his opponent in the APC.

The people of the state are awaiting the final winner of the Kogi state governorship election

Meanwhile, INEC has said election fresh election would be conducted in the 59 polling units of the Ogori/Magongo local government area of the state.

The commission stated that it received report of prefilled result sheets in nine of 10 wards in the affected local government.
