Senate Begins Screening of Tinubu's Ministerial Nominees: Live Updates

FCT, Abuja - Following the unveiling of President Bola Tinubu’s 28-man ministerial nominee list on Thursday, July 27, the Senate will begin screening today, Monday, July 31.

Reports indicate that about 15 of the ministerial nominees had, as of Sunday, July 30, submitted their credentials to the office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Abdullahi Gumel.

Ministerial screening: Video emerges as Wike makes crucial vow to Senate

FCT, Abuja - Former Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, says President Bola Tinubu won’t regret nominating him to serve as a minister in his cabinet.

Wike, the only chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the ministerial list sent by the President to the Senate last Thursday, stated this when he appeared before the red chamber for screening on Monday.

Wike told the Senators that during his time as governor of the oil-rich Niger Delta state from May 2015 to May 2023, he started and completed many projects to improve the infrastructure of the state and that he invited politicians across party lines to commission them.

Ministerial list: Wike arrives national assembly for screening, video emerges

FCT, Abuja - Former governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has arrived at the national assembly for his ministerial screening.

Wike was enlisted in the 28-man list of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's ministerial list that was released on Friday, July 28.

In a video sighted by Legit.ng, Wike was seen donning a suit and being escorted into the national assembly premises by his aides and security operatives.

FCT, Abuja - The Senate is already gearing up for the screening and confirmation of the nominees enlisted in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's ministerial list.

Top names include former Rivers State governor Nyesom Wike, former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai, former governor of Ebonyi Dave Umahi and many others.
