BREAKING: President Tinubu Flies Out of Lagos After Sallah Break

  • President Bola Tinubu has returned to Abuja to fully resume the work of the presidency after spending four days of holiday in Lagos
  • Tinubu landed in Lagos on Tuesday ahead of the celebration of Eid-El-Adha, during which he met with some traditional rulers in the Southwest
  • The president had earlier travelled to London, where he was reported to have held a closed-door meeting with his predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari

Ikeja, Lagos - President Bola Tinubu left Lagos on Sunday, July 2, for Abuja, after spending four days Eid-Il-Adha break in the commercial city of Nigeria.

This was disclosed in a video shared by the NTA on its Twitter page on Sunday afternoon.

How President Tinubu spends his Eid-Il-Adha holiday

President Tinubu flew from London in the United Kingdom to Lagos on Tuesday, June 27, a day before the Eid-il-Adha celebration.

The latest development showed that the President will be resuming work fully on Monday, July 3, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The President had left Nigeria for France to attend the Global Financial Pact summit in Paris on Wednesday, June 21.

He was in the European country for the two-day summit and was earlier scheduled to return to Nigeria on Saturday, June 24.

How President Tinubu moves from Paris to London

However, the presidency announced a change in the movement of the President, saying that he was travelling to London from Paris on a private visit.

During his private visit to London, it was reported that the President held a closed-door meeting with his predecessor, former President Muhammadu Buhari, where it was alleged that the latter told the former to stop investigating members of his cabinet.

However, the former spokesperson to the former President, Garba Shehu, debunked the claim, adding that the meeting was held where there was no third party but within the two leaders.

President Tinubu should review creation of ministries for particular regions
