FCT, Abuja - President Bola Tinubu has announced the appointment of Femi Gbajabiamila, the Speaker of the House Representatives, as the Chief of Staff.
The president also announced the appointment of the former Deputy Governor of Jigawa State, Sen. Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia, as the Deputy Chief of Staff, Premium Times reported.

Gbajabiamila was first elected into the House of Representatives representing Surulere 1 in Lagos in 2003. He became the speaker of the Green Chamber of the national assembly.
Gbajabiamila became the speaker of the House of Representatives after winning his re-election for the fifth time into the House.
The speaker was elected for the sixth time into the lower chamber and he would have to defy his victory.

The Speaker then thanks the president for the new position and promised to work with him from June 14 as stated in the letter sent to him.
