The above leadership quote reflects directly on a man perceived from different perspectives by close watchers, analysts and leadership students who have always been interested in his prolific profiles ever since he deviates from the civil rights activism right as a worker and leader of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC). Welcome to the admirable yet confrontational word of Comrade Adams Aliu Oshiomhole.

For today's generation of political students, he is known as the former governor of Edo State but Oshiomhole's democratic antecedents predate being a governor. He was the driving force of the NLC for years, confronting and tackling headlong, the inhuman treatment meted to Nigerians by autocratic employers notably those in the corporate and public services. Oshiomhole was a no-nonsense leader who brought finesse, panache and most of all, respect to the NLC. He took over the mantle of leading the Congress and to the amazement of all, he rebranded the body and inculcated policies that worked wonders in transforming the living standards of Nigerian workers not only back here at home, but also in the Diaspora. Born on the 4th of April 1952, the former National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has indeed proven that integrity, dignity and ingenuity could all be enshrined in just one body. Oshiomhole is an embodiment of these natural endowments very rare to be found in just any man or woman anywhere on this planet space. He is immensely gifted with a sense of humour, character, deciphering, human psychology, ideologies, philosophies and qualitative leadership. All these he has interwoven into his daily dealings with people. Oshiomhole has always been there for the people both as NLC president, Edo State governor and as National Chairman of the APC.

As Deputy Director General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Comrade Adams Aliu Oshiomhole worked extraordinarily, junketing virtually all the length and breadth of the country, speaking brilliantly and audibly to promote the image of the party's presidential flag bearer, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Oshiomhole sold the brand Tinubu so excitingly than anyone could have done. He devised every academic and psychological arsenal in his kitty to give an exemplary image perception of both the party and candidate to the voting public. To say that Oshiomhole is the major actualizer of Tinubu's eventual emergence as Nigeria's president is like stating the obvious and to even imagine that the former Edo State governor is the brain behind the tactical approach unleashed for the victory of the Tinubu/Shettima joint ticket is like selling ice to the Eskimos. The man Adams Aliu Oshiomhole is indeed an unrepentant progressive democrat who wants the best for Nigeria.

Having worked tremendously for the actualization of Asiwaju Tinubu as president and Senator Kashim Shettima as his Vice, Oshiomhole's great impact was somehow needed back home. After all, his people cannot fold their hands and watch him performing democratic magic at the Federal level while neglecting them at the local level. The good people of Edo North Senatorial District comprising six local government areas which consist of Etsako West, Etsako East, Etsako Central, Owan West, Owan East and Akoko Edo all came out in large numbers to cast their ballots for Oshiomhole on the 25th of February 2023 as their preferred representative at the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly. With regards to his humility and sense of humour, Adams Oshiomhole will capitalize on his God-given political and democratic prowess to improve the lives of his people by giving them the expected perfect representation as they have never witnessed before and ensure that all necessary dividends of democracy that are accrued to them are delivered. Experience counts and experience works wonders, this is what Oshiomhole will bring on board as Senator representing Edo North in Abuja.

It is also important to state here that one thing that has kept working for Adams Oshiomhole is his outspokenness. He is fearlessly outspoken, saying it the way it is. He is a quintessential speaker who knows how to coin words to the admiration of any listener. He could simply be described as the Cisero of Iyamho, a reminisce of the late Chief Bola Ige, the Cisero of Esa Oke. Another thing you cannot take away from Adams Oshiomhole is doggedness. He is a goal-getter and a die-hard result-oriented person. Adams is what should be termed a visionary leader with a mission to serve and be remembered for their service to humanity. These, he brought to the fore when campaigning assiduously for the Tinubu/Shettima joint presidency, reeling out the qualities of these superheroes on top of his voices everywhere the campaign train moved to. From Sokoto state to Zamfara, Kano to Katsina, Adamawa to Borno and every other state in the north, Oshiomhole's voice echoed loudly touching the ears of dwellers in all the nooks and crannies of all the aforementioned states. The same goes for Kogi, Benue, Kwara and Plateau states all were more strategically informed of the Tinubu/Shettima presidential pursuits via the un-ignorable voice of Adams Oshiomhole. This astute spokesman also unleashed the same campaign strategies on people in the South West, the South-South as South East. Lagosians, Deltans, Bayelsans, Abians, Anambrans and every other national got the feel of Oshiomhole's oratory on Tinubu and Shettima.

The vital roles he played during the actualization journey can never be swept under the carpet as they worked concomitantly for the success of the party at the keenly contested polls that held the whole world spellbound as it lasted. Oshiomhole played a fantastic role in both the campaign procedures and the electioneering proper and his energetic productivity described it all. Little wonder, he is highly respected across the board and even the eventual winner of the presidential election, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu gave Oshiomhole a special rousing embrace when he visited members of the PCC. In addition to this, the President-elect commended the efforts of Oshiomhole variously by describing him as a magnetic influence in both Edo and Nigerian politics. He further described the personality of Adams Oshiomole as a man who is envisioned to make life worth living for his people, a selfless leader and a remarkable democrat with optimum national developmental milestones. Through his words and boy language towards Oshiomhole pre-election, Tinubu has shown his respect and comradeship to Oshiomhole.

Certain judgmental facts must also be narrated about Adams Aliu Oshiomole. These include his ability to decipher the moods of his people. He has this uncommon gift of knowing and feeling where it pinches, working valiantly to ensure necessary alleviation where needed. He takes the youths so vital to his approach to leadership. Incoming Senator Adams Oshiomhole will, no doubt, embark on strategic moves targeted towards rescuing the youths from the grips of consequential poverty possibly as a result of the national economic meltdown which will be corrected by the incoming administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Oshiomhole is very much prepared to give the youths of Edo North Senatorial District the much-anticipated leeway to success via massive empowerment and employment schemes. He promised them, that he will deliver to them. Elders are not also left out of the benevolence of Oshiomhole has great plans for them as members of the Upper Chamber. He knows he cares for the aged and will do everything to keep making the old men and women of Edo North District extremely happy.

Primarily, it is an obvious fact that Comrade Adams Aliu Oshiomhole has played his role in ensuring victory for both Asiwaju Tinubu and the APC, he has been part of history as one of the men who singlehandedly made Tinubu's long-term dream come to reality and an actualizer of a new frontier of democracy in Nigeria. A great man of the people, an undiluted patriotic Nigerian, a visionary leader, master of letters for positive achievements, a core believer in valuable and analytical national chemistry to build our country, Nigeria and a magnificent non-tribalistic, non-religious based nationalist who imbibed the characters of the Great Awo, the Great Zik and the Great Balewa all rolled into one. Oshiomhole is a typical example of what a great leader should be. He nursed and tutored many leaders to be who they are today. He has made men and women of value, valour and valiance. His name has been significantly written on a platter of gold as far as Nigerian politics is concerned and he has been severally honoured and awarded by different organizations and bodies too numerous to mention here. His over 70 years on planet Earth has been somewhat challenging, threatening, interesting and full of achievements. He is a happy family man whose children are making him proud everywhere they are, engaged in their contributive endeavours. Comrade Adams Aliu Oshiomhole now a Senator-elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria will be judged by the history of one of the energizers of modern democracy and the brain behind the actualization of the transformational government of incoming President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In years to come, history will be extremely kind to Senator-elect Adams Oshiomhole and his entire family as they have delivered the message as sent by the Almighty Creator to come into the world and impact greatly on humanity, touch the lives of the poor, provide a home for the homeless, cloth for the naked and food for the hungry. Comrade Adams Oshiomhole transformed Nigeria's presidency as he transformed the NLC, Edo State and the APC.

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Vice President-elect, Kazim Shettima will never forget the immense roles played by Oshiomhole towards the realization of their ambition of steering the ship of Nigeria to the desired harbour in the next for years.

Adams Oshiomhole has made all his predecessors both dead and living proud wherever they are.
