Breaking: Anxiety Erupts As Presidential Election Tribunal Set To Hear Motions by INEC, Tinubu, APC, Obi, LP

The Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) has listed some motions for hearing this afternoon.

One of such motion is the one filed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) seeking to vary the orders granted to the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP), Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi to inspect materials used for last presidential election.

Also listed for hearing today include the motions filed on March 6 by the President-elect, Bola Tinubu and his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), for an order to inspect materials used for the last presidential election, The Nation reported.

Further listed for hearing is a motion by Obi and LP “for leave to carry out a digital forensic and physical inspection of BVAS, etc.”

Presidency: INEC Finally Addresses Atiku, PDP As Protesters Storm Commission's Headquarters

Meanwhile, INEC has promised to redress the grievances of the PDP and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, in the recently concluded presidential election.

Festus Okoye, the spokesperson of the commission, promised to transmit the message of the opposition to INEC national chairman, Mahmoud Yakubu.

Atiku has led the leadership and supporters of the PDP in protest at the commission's headquarters against the outcome of the February 25 election.

In another development, the Independent National Electoral Commission and its chairman have been accused of delivering a caricature show at the 2023 presidential election to Nigerians.

The allegation was made by Dino Melaye, a former lawmaker who represented Kogi West senatorial district at the 8th Assembly.

Senator Melaye said that the naira redesign of the Federal Government, which the Central Bank of Nigeria championed, was aimed at deceiving Nigerians.
