Yenagoa - All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday, December 1 mistakenly declared that 'high prices is here' while addressing the ruling party's supporters in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa state capital.
The former Lagos state governor said:
“I bring you hope, that happiness is here, that high prices is here.”

2023: Buhari's top minister sends daring message to Atiku, Peter Obi as Tinubu takes campaign to Bayelsa
Tinubu, however, immediately corrected himself by saying:
“Is gone.”
Nigerians react to Tinubu's latest public gaffe
Some Nigerians on social media have been reacting to the trending video where Tinubu made the mistake.
The video has been circulating on the internet, especially on micro-blogging site, Twitter.
FS Yusuf wrote on the platform:
“I think Bola Tinubu is sincerely telling the Bayelsa masses that "High prices is here." So a vote for him is vote for outrageous increase in prices of goods and services.”

Senator Remi Tinubu sonates N50million to flood victims in Bayelsa
Recall that Oluremi Tinubu, senator representing Lagos central senatorial district and wife of the APC presidential candidate, recently donated the sum of N50 million to flood victims in Bayelsa state.
The senator made the donation which included relief materials when she led the women’s wing of the APC presidential campaign council to visit the victims in their camps in Yenagoa, the capital of Bayelsa.
Speaking while donating the items, she said a total of 1,000 persons will receive N50,000 each to recapitalise their small-scale businesses.
Afenifere crisis: Yoruba group knocks Tinubu, says he's a constant agent of division
Meanwhile, a pan-Yoruba youth socio-economic group, the Southwest Renaissance Group has berated Tinubu over the current crisis rocking Afenifere.
In a release signed by the convener of the group, Hon. Olaitan Abdul Salam and sent to Legit.ng, the group referred to the APC candidate as a divider-in-chief.
The group further said Tinubu is a chronic agent of division and destabilization, warning Yoruba should be wary about giving their support to the former Lagos state governor in next year’s election.
