The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is set to kick off his campaign by unveiling his policy document/manifesto on Friday, October 21.

Renewed Hope 2023: Some key points from Tinubu's manifesto
Tinubu's manifesto is tagged renewed hope 2023’. The policy document is also referred to as an action plan for a ‘better Nigeria’.
In the manifesto, Tinubu said he would optimise the country’s foreign exchange (FX) to strengthen the naira as well as reduce foreign debt to achieve a productive economy.
Om debt, the APC presidential candidate said if elected, his administration will efficiently manage the country’s quest for foreign borrowings.
If elected, Tinubu also promised that his administration will achieve stability in the supply of petroleum products by fully deregulating the downstream sector and ensuring that local refinery capacity will meet domestic consumption needs.
To achieve this, he said his government “shall phase out the fuel subsidy yet maintain the underlying social contract between government and the people”.
In simple words, Tinubu plans to remove the fuel subsidy, albeit, in phases.
He said the money that would have been used to pay subsidy will be used to fund targeted infrastructural, agricultural and social welfare programmes.
Tinubu promises to give women, youths more preference if elected
Tinubu promises to give more women and youths more opportunities in his administration.
The presidential hopeful said they are the drivers of the economy while promising to build the entertainment and sports industries.
He said the industries could not grow if electricity is not stabilised.
The APC standard bearer, therefore, promised to pay more attention to developing electricity so as to grow the economy.

Tinubu boasts that he "knows the way" to Nigeria's prosperity.
He said this as he unveiled his manifesto for the 2023 presidential election.
The former Lagos governor added that he had made wide consultations and believed APC is the only progressive party that can deliver Nigeria.
The presidential hopeful recalled how he and his team turned around the Lagos economy.
Tinubu now speaking: Women are the most consistent voters in Nigeria
Bola Tinubu, the APC presidential candidate, commends the women's wing of the party for inaugurating the women's agenda of the party ahead of the men's.
While thanking the women for their faster move, the presidential hopeful said women are the most consistent voters in Nigeria and that he and his running mate will not let down the Nigerian women.

Speaking on the crisis rocking the umbrella party, Shettima queries Atiku's competence to put Nigeria in order if he cannot put the PDP in order.
The PDP has been confronted with a series of crises since the emergence of Atiku as the presidential candidate of the opposition party.
