Breaking: Huge Tragedy as Former PDP National Chairman Dies in Canada

- This time around, PDP former national chairman Vincent Ogbulafor reportedly dies in Canada at the age of 73
- Confirming his death, a family member who pleaded anonymity disclosed Ogbulafor died from an undisclosed illness
The former national chairman and first National Secretary of the opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Chief Vincent Ogbulafor is dead.
He has been confirmed dead by a family source which further told Thisday Newspaper that he died Thursday, October 6, in Canada at the age of 73 from an undisclosed ailment.
Ogbulafor is from Olokoro, in Umuahia South local government of Abia state.
Ogbulafor was the first PDP’s national secretary before he later became National Chairman after a bitter national battle between Senator Sam Egwu and Senator Anyim Pius Anyim.

What led to his resignation?
He was forced to resign as PDP national chairman by the powers that be when he fell out with them.
Ogbulafor was later charged with an alleged financial recklessness while serving as a minister.
He was reputed to have boasted that the PDP will rule for 40 years which did not come to pass, as the All Progressives Congress (APC) truncated that dream and eventually defeated it in 2015.
Another former minister died in a London hospital
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Nigeria lost one of its influential former minister under the administration of late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua.
Dr Abba Sayyadi Ruma died on Wednesday, October 27, in a London hospital after a prolonged illness. Ruma also served in various capacities including a former minister and water resources, ex-minister of state in the federal ministry of education.
The deceased served as an influential minister during the administration of late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua, but was later sacked by then acting president Goodluck Jonathan.
Nigerian governor dies on Independence Day
A former military administrator of Delta and Cross River, Commodore Ibrahim Kefas (rtd), died on Friday, October 1.
Late Kefas who died at the age of 73 served as administrator under the military regime of late General Sani Abacha.
Kefas lost to PDP's candidate, Danbaba Suntai, in Taraba state during the 2007 governorship election.
Also, no fewer than three children have been kidnapped in Dutsen Abba, Zaria local government area of Kaduna state. The assailants on Wednesday night, December 15, killed the father of the abducted kids, Alhaji Habibu of Sayen Lenu.
