Trouble for Atiku As Influential Southeast PDP Governor, Obi Meets Behind Closed Doors

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, in the early hours of Saturday, July 23, visited the Governor of Abia state, Okezie Ikpeazu.
Obi arrived at the country home of the governor at Umuobiakwa, Obingwa Local Government Area for a courtesy visit.
The presidential candidate confirmed this development through a post shared on his Facebook page, on Saturday.
Obi shared photos of his courtesy visit and stated the reason for his visit.

He wrote:
"Former Anambra State Governor and Presidential Candidate of the Labor Party, Mr Peter Obi was at the Country Home of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu at Umuobiakwa, Obingwa LGA early this morning for a courtesy visit.
"Mr Obi arrived Umuobiakwa quite early this morning and was received by his host, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.
"Former Governor Obi informed Governor Ikpeazu that he was in Abja State to attend an event at the Mater Dei Catholic Cathedral Umuahia and in line with official courtesies and protocols, he had to come to see the Governor before proceeding to the event.
"They discussed a wide range of issues ranging from Security, Economy and Politics.
"They also had a private breakfast session.
"Governor Ikpeazu presented him with a Souvenir bag containing the first ever Abia State Long Term Development Plan and the Abia State Industrial Policy which was presented to the Governor yesterday by ECOWAS Representative at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
"Mr. Obi also spoke to newsmen for a few minutes before leaving for Umuahia."

For some, Ikpeazu is not a plus to the Obidient movement, rather the Abians are going to vote for the Peter Obi in 2023.

Osun guber result: Peter Obi hits back at critics, sends message to Adeleke, Lasun Yusuff
The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, has sent a congratulatory message to Ademola Adeleke, the Osun state governor-elect in Saturday's election.
Vanguard reported that Obi commended the LP candidate in the race, Lasun Yusuff, who came fifth, noting that the poll was not a verdict on the fate of the LP in the 2023 elections.
The former Anambra state governor was responding to critics mocking the party that the Obidient movement only has numbers on social media.
