Osun Governorship Election: Live Updates as INEC Commences Declaration of Official Results
The governorship election in Osun is almost over as voting and counting of ballots have ended ended across local government in the state.
Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has also started announcing the official results at the state collation centre in Oshogbo, the state capital.
The frontline contestants in the election are Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress; Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party; Lasun Yusuff of Labour Party; Akin Ogunbiyi of Accord Party; and Goke Omigbodun of Social Democratic Party among others.
Data from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) suggest that Ekiti has a total of 1,955,657 registered voters. The election is taking in 3,763 polling units across 332 registration areas in 30 local government areas of the state.

INEC sets up room for central collation of results
The Independent National electoral commission (INEC) is currently setting up the central collation centre at the state headquarters for results to be announced.
The final collation of result is expected to take place at the State Collation Centre, INEC office situated in Osogbo.
