State House, Abuja - Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, has congratulated Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his victory on Wednesday, June 8, at the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primaries.
Osinbajo in a statement released on Thursday, June 9, also congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari and all APC leaders on the success of the special convention and presidential primary.

Hailing the APC presidential candidate who is his political benefactor, Osinbajo said Tinubu has for decades shown passion, patriotism, courage and determination in the cause of nation-building.

He added that Tinubu's sterling contributions to the country's democracy and its progress stand him out.
The vice president also urged APC members to unite behind Tinubu to ensure the party wins in 2023.

"I congratulate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his victory at our party primaries and his emergence as the Presidential Candidate and Flagbearer of our great party, the APC for the forthcoming 2023 Presidential Elections.
"I also congratulate President Muhammadu Buhari and all leaders of the APC for a successful Special Convention and Presidential Primary.
"For many decades, our Flagbearer has shown passion, patriotism, courage and determination in the cause of nation-building. His sterling contributions to our democracy and its progress stand him out. His wealth of experience will certainly be critical in our party’s continued efforts to attain a more secure and prosperous Nigeria.

APC presidential primary: Amaechi congratulates Tinubu
In a similar development, the Amaechi presidential media committee has congratulated Tinubu on his victory at the just concluded presidential primaries of the APC.
In a statement signed by the committee’s chairman, Kingsley Wenenda Wali, Amaechi called on all the aspirants to come together to work for the victory of Tinubu and APC in the 2023 presidential election.
