• The visit came after Tinubu's victory at the just concluded presidential primary held in Eagle Square in Abuja
• Tinubu had defeated his former political son, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and a host of others to emerge the presidential flagbearer of the party

Progressive Northern Governors have arrived the residence of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

The governors are visit him to congratulate his over his recent emergence as the presidential flagbearer of the party.

Meanwhile there are strong indications that Tinubu has started searching for his running mate ahead of the Independent National Electoral Commission’s June 17 deadline for parties to submit their candidates’ lists.

In fact, the spokesman for the Tinubu Campaign Organisation, Bayo Onanuga, in an interview revealed that Tinubu already had an arrangement with the APC governors that if he emerged the candidate of the party, the governors would decide the person to pick.

According to him, Tinubu prefers a collective responsibility than doing it on his own.

He said:

“The Vice-President can come from any region and religion. But the PGF is at liberty to pick. Up till now, we are all aware that Atiku has not chosen a VP. Yet, he was elected before him. But in our own case, it is a party affair.

“The party leaders will look at the chances and decide how they will balance a Muslim from the South, maybe with somebody that comes from North- East, North-Central or from North-West. That is how it is done. I cannot circumvent the party. The Governor Atiku Bagudu-led PGF has the task to pick a competent deputy for him."

Recall that Legit.ng reported that the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, seems to have found new foot soldiers who helped him lead his campaign to a resounding success at the just concluded primary.

These foot soldier had successfully helped him win the keenly contested APC primary held at Eagle's Square in Abuja with a wide margin.
