2023 Elections: Full List of PDP State Assembly, House of Reps’ Candidates in Top Northern State
Ahead of the 2023 elections, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Gombe state concluded its State Houses of Assembly and House of Representatives primaries on Sunday, May 22.

Six and 24 candidates that emerged were elected for the House of Representatives and State Houses of Assembly respectively, according to The Punch, citing the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) as its source.
Below is the full list of the candidates as released by the party in Gombe State, on Monday, May 23.

Only three female aspirants elected
In all, only three females were elected out of the 30 contested seats in both elections; two for the State Assembly while one clinched the House of Representatives ticket in the primaries.
The female candidates are Meriji Majoro for Balanga South and Saratu Jauro, Balanga North, while Aishatu Ahmad won for Akko Federal Constituency.
2023: Prominent southeast PDP lawmaker loses bid for 5th term
In a related development, Pat Asadu, a member of the PDP in the House of Representatives, has lost his bid to return to the national assembly in 2023.
On Sunday, May 22, the legislator representing Nsukka/Igboeze south federal constituency was defeated at the party’s primary election in Enugu state.
The lawmaker lost his return ticket to a former chairman of the PDP, Engr. Vitta Abba.
