The Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Oladunni Oyewumi, Ajagungbade III, is dead. The 95-year-old traditional ruler died on Sunday, Tribune Newspaper reports.
Punch Newspaper reported that the news of his death was corroborated by two other highly placed sources in the town.
He said:
“It is true that Baba has passed on. It happened this morning but it has not been announced officially.

Tears flow as abducted traditional ruler is found dead in market square
In another report, the ancient kingdom of Atta in Njaba local government area of Imo state has been thrown into mourning following the murder of its traditional ruler, Eze Edwin Azike.
Azike's body was found at the community market square on Friday morning, December 10. It was gathered that the monarch was killed after he was abducted on Thursday, December 9.
A source who spoke anonymously told the publication that four people were shot dead on Thursday after the monarch was kidnapped.

Michael Abattam, the state police spokesman confirming the incident said Azike was abducted and later found dead in a car.
Gunmen abduct Catholic priest
In another related report, gunmen suspected to be kidnappers reportedly abducted a Catholic Priest, Reverend Joseph Ajayi.
The cleric was abducted along the Akure-Ikere road in Ondo state on Tuesday, December 7.
He was said to be travelling in his Toyota Corolla to Ilara-Mokin in Ifedore local government area, close to Akure, the state capital, where his parish is located.
