PDP Celebrates Governor Udom Emmanuel’s Listing in Africa’s Inspiring Individuals

FCT, Abuja - The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has congratulated Akwa-Ibom state governor, Udom Emmanuel, on his recognition as one of the 100 inspiring individuals in Africa in the 2021 African Regional Awards.

The PDP stated that the recognition by the African Regional Journal is a well-deserved and resounding testament to the governor’s unique leadership proficiencies and laudable achievements in all critical sectors.

The party stated that the governor's achievements are in line with the manifesto of the PDP and the visions of its founding fathers.

“Our party is very proud of Governor Emmanuel’s efforts in stabilising Akwa Ibom state to create an enabling peaceful atmosphere for enhanced productivity as well as harmonious living in a multifarious state.
“The PDP celebrates Governor Emmanuel’s giant strides in human capital and infrastructural developments in critical sectors, including manufacturing, food production, aviation, maritime, real estate, commerce, retailing, energy, education, healthcare, hospitality, among others.
“Governor Emmanuel’s feat in the establishment and successful management of highly specialised ventures such as the Ibom Air, Ibom Deep Sea Port, Ibom Industrial Park/Jetty in addition to power, refinery, and gas processing plants as well as state of the art health facilities in the state, shows that with the right type of leadership, our nation can indeed achieve success in such critical areas.

Governor Udom Emmanuel Optimistic of Better Nigeria With PDP

Meanwhile, Governor Emmanuel says there is hope of better days for Nigerians given the significant gains the PDP has continued to record as a party in the nation.

The governor made the comment on Tuesday, October 26, in Uyo, while flagging off the e-registration of membership and revalidation exercise of the Akwa Ibom state chapter of the PDP.

He noted that the current widespread groans of Nigerians due to poor leadership can be addressed by a proactive people-centric leadership championed by a party like the PDP that truly cares about the people.

Recall that former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, recently stated that only states controlled by the PDP are working to meet the aspirations of electorates in Nigeria.

According to the PDP presidential candidate in 2019, states controlled by the ruling All Progressives Congress are simply sleeping as projects are not being commissioned in their domain.

Abubakar made the statement when he commissioned a 4.2-kilometre road constructed by the Bauchi state government on Thursday, November 25.
