'Village People' Issue Stern Warning To Andy Uba Over Soludo's Victory

Kinsmen of Andy Uba, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the November 6 Anambra governorship election, have warned him not to entertain the idea of taking legal action against the result of the polls in favour of Chukwuma Soludo.

Punch reports that the Aguata kinsmen under the platform of Nzukora Old Aguata Union said Soludo who was declared winner of the governorship election by Nigeria's electoral body, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) should not be distracted.

The union in a statement by its president, Peter Okala, urged Uba to stay away from any legal process on Soludo's victory or face the consequences from the people of Aguata.

Okala in his statement signed on behalf of the 45 communities called on all the candidates who lost at the polls to show the spirit of sportsmanship by throwing their weight behind the governor-elect.

Governor-elect Charles Soludo should not be distracted

Also, News Nigeria reports that the kinsmen challenging Soludo's victory as governor-elect of Anambra state would be detrimental to the aim of driving meaningful development in the state.

The kinsmen also said they are opposed to any form of discouragement or distractions for Soludo as their expectation from the governor-elect is high.

Okala said:

“We, the 45 communities of the Old Aguata Union, do hereby call on all the losers to show a spirit of sportsmanship as we are disposed to taking all necessary steps, both legal, spiritual and otherwise to discourage all manner of distraction because our expectation is high.”

The union also commended the leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) for cancelling the controversial sit-at-home order issued across the southeast region.

Okala said the cancellation of the order gave the Igbo people the courage to come out and vote en masse.

Andy Uba sends warning to APGA camp over legal actions

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that Uba had urged politicians in All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) to desist from making him appear to be evil-minded.

The APC governorship candidate in the Anambra November 6 election said the APGA team should focus on meeting him in court.

He also said that he has chosen to go the legal way in the fight to reclaim his mandate which he said was lost at the polls in Anambra state.

MASSOB leadership reacts to legal action against Soludo's victory

Also, the leadership of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) had advised all candidates of the Anambra election to sheath their swords.

The group also warned those working towards legal steps to stay away from the courts to avoid distractions for the governor-elect.

According to MASSOB, lawyers are only preparing to fleece the APC governorship candidate for the Anambra election.
