APC Releases How Much Forms for Ekiti, Osun Governorship Elections Will Cost

  • The ruling All Progressives Congress has begun the sale of nomination forms for the Ekiti and Osun governorship elections
  • According to the national secretary of the APC CEECPC, John Akpanudodehe, the nomination form would sell for N20 million
  • Akpanudodehe added that the female and physically challenged aspirants would pay 50 percent of the main fee

Abuja- The All Progressives Congress has commenced the sales of expression of Interest and nomination forms for Ekiti and Osun governorship elections.

The Punch reports that John Akpanudodehe, the National Secretary, APC Caretaker and Extra-ordinary Convention Planning Committee, made the known on Tuesday, November, 16, at its national secretariat in Abuja.

Akpanudodehe disclosed that while the nomination form would sell for N20 million, the expression of interest form would cost N2.5 million.

He said female and physically challenged aspirants would pay 50 percent of the approved fees.

He said:

“Primary election will be on Saturday, January 22, 2022, while election appeal is on Wednesday, January 26, 2022.
“For Osun state, a notice of election to the State Chapter will be on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, while sale of forms will begin at APC National Secretariat on Thursday, November 18, 2021.
“Last day for submission of completed forms for Osun governorship election and accompanying documents at APC national secretariat will be on Friday, February 18, 2022, while screening of aspirants will be February 22, 2022."

He stated also that screening of aspirants had been scheduled for Thursday, January 13, 2022.

Akpanudodehe noted further that the publication of claims and objections would be on Monday, January 17, 2022, while entertainment of appeals would be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2022.

Meanwhile, the party has fixed January 22, 2022, for Ekiti primary election and Saturday, March 5, 2022, for the Osun primary election while the election appeal would be on Thursday, March 10, 2022.
