According to Kalu’s media aide, Maduka Okoro, the posters did not emanate from the office of the former Abia governor.

Okoro in reaction to emergence of the posters revealed Kalu has not declared his intention to contest the 2023 presidential race.

Speaking further, he described it as the handiwork of those who either love Kalu for “the good he is doing” or those with “other intentions”.

He noted that the lawmaker representing Abia north senatorial zone would make his intentions known if he decides to contest.

Though Kalu has not publicly declared his presidential ambition, several northern and southern leaders, civil society groups as well as youth groups have all called on him to run for the office of the president.
