According to Ogbonnia, the stability that would be witnessed in the region can be extended to the country as a whole.

Further reacting to 2023 presidency posters of David Umahi, the governor of Ebonyi state that has flooded the region, Ogbonnia said it is the turn of the Igbo people to produce a president.

Ogbonnia said:

"That is in response to equity, justice, fairness and also for the stability of the country. For the corporate existence of this country, we must recognise the need for that to be done.
"As a matter of fact, there was an agreement on that in 1998 and people have been observing that agreement."

The stance of Ohanaeze Ndigbo youth wing

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the youth wing of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo had aligned with the emergence of an Igbo president come 2023.

The group said Igbo presidency would curb the agitation for Biafra by members of the IPOB group led by Nnamdi Kanu.

According to the presidency of the youth group, like the Oduduwa agitation which was ended by the Olusegun Obasanjo's presidency, an Igbo president would end the Biafra agitation.
