For Rt. Rev. Justus Mogekwu, the Anglican Bishop of Asaba Diocese, ownership of the Permanent Voter Card (PVC) is a condition for participating in the Holy Communion.
Rev Mogekwu in his sermon on Sunday, November 14, called on residents in the state to ensure that they elect God-fearing leaders by collecting their PVCs, Punch reports.
Mogekwu who noted that the people rejoice only when good leaders are enthroned explained that it is the responsibility of Christians to get involved in politics for good governance to thrive at all levels.
Speaking at the Great Anointing Favour Bible Church International Incorporated, Effurun, Delta state, the cleric said henceforth preachers in the state must mandate their members to have their PVCs before they can take part in the service.

He stated:
“Pastors should ensure their members get their PVC before they take their Communion and do other worship services in the household of God.
"As Communion is important to us as Christians, which makes us healthy, spirit-filled, and to be very strong, it is such with the PVC which makes us enthrone good governance at any level.”
