Days after losing in the Anambra governorship election, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced that gubernatorial aspirants cleared to contest the Ekiti state primaries can collect their Provisional Clearance Certificate.
Recall that the party lost to Professor Charles Soludo, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
The APGA candidate who polled 112,229 votes as the winner was trailed by Valentine Ozigbo, the candidate of the PDP who polled 53,807.

A statement signed by Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi, chairman Ekiti gubernatorial screening committee, said aspirants should collect their certificates at the national secretariat in Abuja or send representatives.

The opposition on Thursday, November 11, in a post shared on Facebook, stated this the after screening aspirants for the June 18, 2022 Ekiti governorship election.

Meanwhile, the 2022 Ekiti state governorship election may face a strong challenge as one of the chieftains of the PDP Engr Segun Oni, threw his hat in the ring to contest the poll.
The former Ekiti state governor obtained his expression of interest and nomination forms to contest on the platform of the PDP.
Oni made the disclosure on Wednesday, September 22, after his campaign director picked up the forms at the PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja.
